We married in 2006 and have since raised our family in north central Indiana.
Ashlie-
In 2002, I graduated from Indiana School of Dentistry with a degree in Dental Hygiene and began a career in patient care at a local dental practice. I am very grateful for this profession, and through my experience in dentistry, I realized my love for people, listening to their needs and helping them find solutions. Patient education, and polishing their smiles is important, but so is connecting with people on a personal level.
As life progressed and my family size grew, I decided to transition to a career that allowed flexibility. Real Estate was recommended to me by a friend in the industry. To my surprise, it was a natural fit. I have found it to be extremely fulfilling as I connect with clients on a daily basis. I’m able to offer personal attention, at the level the client desires. I mostly enjoy listening to people and helping them along their journey. Real estate has a strong element of service which I very much enjoy, and it has allowed me to cross paths with people who have blessed my life, many of whom I likely would have never met. For this, I am very thankful.
My husband Grant is my teammate in life. We enjoy working together in Real Estate and are very proud of our 6 beautiful, rambunctious, exhausting children. We are very grateful for each of these gifts and also for our support system.
Grant-
In 2001 I graduated from Indiana University School of Education and began my teaching career with a focus in fine arts. In 2009, I earned a Masters in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. Most of my career in the classroom has been in Kokomo Indiana where I was born and raised. In addition to traditional arts, I’ve taught classes in graphic design and video production. I enjoy working with students through open ended projects set in real world situations. As Ashlie began her real estate career I noticed a similar quality when working with clients. The process of buying and selling a home is full of ups, downs, twists, and turns. It is a personal experience that involves your work, friends, and family. HGTV is popular, not because we love houses, but because of the stories and personal connections we create through them.
When I'm not working in real estate, however Mr. Taskey is still in the classroom. "No one has all the answers, smart people have all the questions."
